Miriam “Mimi” Sirosa’s career has taken off as a result of her fitness and nutrition practices.
The 36-year-old Silver medalist has been working out in the gym, taking the Ironman world record for distance running by more than a mile and a half and she has even been to compete in the women’s 4x100m relay, which she won.
The Gold medalist told the Associated Press in March that she would start working out after the Paralympics in May.
She said it was a long process, but she was looking forward to doing the Ironmans and other marathons.
“It’s something I’ve been dreaming about since I was a kid,” she said.
“I think that was when I was young, but it was really hard for me to get the physical training.”
Mimi said she started working out when she was a teenager because she was overweight.
She says she started out at a gym and the more time she spent in the ring, the more she wanted to get in shape and work out.
“My goal was to go to a fitness camp, go to the beach, go for a run, run marathones,” she told AP.
“That was my goal.
I started out doing that.
Then I realized, ‘I can do more, I can get in better shape and I can do everything with the right diet and everything.'”
Now that I’m in the IronMan world record race, I’m trying to stay in shape because it was something I thought about doing for so long, and now I’m so happy with it,” she added.”
If you can, go out there and do it.
If not, then don’t,” she concluded.
