Posted October 15, 2018 06:31:00O2 Fitness has announced it will close for the winter.
The fitness chain said in a statement that it will “continue to operate a range of our programs in a normal fashion until further notice”.
O2’s parent company Lululemon Athletica, which owns the brand, said it has also “extended our assistance to our customers affected by the recent heat wave”.
The company said it was making every effort to provide all our customers with a reasonable alternative.
“We’re deeply disappointed in the decision and remain committed to working closely with our customers, our staff and our suppliers to ensure our facilities and staff are prepared for the weather,” the statement said.
The brand had already announced it would be closing stores for the week, which included a weekend in which it would have shut for a week.
It is the second major retailer to announce closures in recent months.
In March, Walmart said it would close more than 1,000 stores in North America, with some stores set to remain closed for the whole month.
