LA Fitness is returning to the city this week after a two-year hiatus.
It is slated to reopen at 8:30 a.m.
Thursday at the corner of Main and Broadway in Hollywood.
The first workout will be for those wanting to try out the new fitness program.
“The first session will be about 40 minutes of walking, running, and dynamic exercise,” LA Fitness spokesperson Rachel Todaro said.
“Everyone will be encouraged to come to the workout.
We’re still working out a lot of details to make sure it’s fun, comfortable, and enjoyable.”
LA Fitness opened the first gym in Los Angeles in 2009 and the facility has since expanded to encompass over 500,000 square feet of space and a number of studios.
The LA Fitness studio is a joint venture between the Los Angeles City Council, L.A. Fitness, the city’s parks department, and the LA Fitness Foundation.
The new LA Fitness has a more modern look and feel with a modern vibe.
It has indoor and outdoor cardio equipment, an exercise room, and a cardio bike.
LA Fitness founder and president, Dr. Jason Lillis, said that the new LAFit is meant to provide the community with the best possible experience.
“LA Fitness will continue to invest in community programs and community wellness programs that serve people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds,” Lillas said.
