In the early hours of the morning, the new Fit Flop shoe was released and I took it for a spin.
The sole was made of a durable but breathable synthetic material, and it was easy to get on.
It was, in fact, the first time I had worn a shoe with a Fit Flope sole, but it was a bit of a surprise to see such a high-tech innovation from a shoe company.
“You can only see this from the outside, but the inner shoe is made of rubber,” explains Paul Schmitt, head of product marketing at Fit Flops.
Its sole is the most flexible and flexible shoe ever, he says.
For a shoe that claims to make you feel “leaner, better, and more flexible”, it does not.
It’s made of polyamide, a polyester blend of silicone and a polymer that makes up the shoe’s elastic.
Fitness shoes were once just a gimmick, but Fit Floppers are the first shoe company to make a functional and effective fitness shoe.
But the innovation is not limited to a fitness shoe, Schmitt explains.
You can wear the Fit FlOP without shoes, too.
Its patent-pending cushioning system cushions the foot in the event you fall or bump your foot.
This is similar to the cushioned shoes you find in some of your favourite fitness gear brands.
Schmitt says Fit Flopers shoes will be available in more than 100 countries worldwide, including Australia, China, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain, and the US.
He says the company is now looking at “the next big thing” in fitness, which is “an innovative way to make your life easier, more productive, and happier”.
